Executive Vice President, Electronic Security
Tony Byerly was appointed executive vice president, electronic security for Diebold, Incorporated, in June 2012. He is responsible for leading and setting the strategy for the company’s electronic security business globally. His focus is in growing the financial and commercial markets, with an emphasis on value-added services and solutions. He leads all facets of security-related initiatives, sales, product management, application and project engineering teams, operations and the company’s security monitoring business efforts.
Prior to Diebold, Byerly served as president and chief operating officer for Stanley Convergent Security Solutions, a division of Stanley Black and Decker. Byerly joined Stanley when Stanley acquired HSM in 2006 and led Stanley CSS as it transformed into the second largest electronic security services provider in North America. While at Stanley he served as senior vice president of sales, marketing and national accounts as well as chief operating officer. As senior vice president of sales, marketing and national accounts at HSM, Byerly was known for his marketing prowess and his sales leadership as HSM became the second largest commercial and national account provider of electronic security services in the U.S. Prior to his work at Stanley, he gained more than 20 years of security and leadership experience at a variety of private and public corporations including ADT/Tyco International, Honeywell Security Monitoring, Ameritech, SBC Global Communications, SecurityLink and Cambridge Protection Industries.
In April 2014, Byerly was inducted into the Security Sales & Integration (SSI)
Hall of Fame for his distinguished service in the security industry.
Byerly holds a bachelor’s degree in social science and business from Eureka College in Eureka, Ill., where he attended as a Ronald W. Reagan Scholar. He currently serves on the Eureka College Board of Trustees.
