Leslie A. Pierce was named vice president and corporate controller for Diebold, Incorporated in May 2007. She is responsible for Diebold's global accounting functions, financial reporting, planning, analysis and internal financial control infrastructure, as well as external financial reporting requirements.
Pierce also served as Diebold's interim chief financial officer from March 2009 to November 2009. Prior to her current position, she served as vice president of accounting, compliance and external reporting. Since 1993, Pierce has held various leadership roles within the company’s finance and accounting organizations, including Central Division Controller within Diebold North America. She joined Diebold in 1990 as a senior accountant. Before joining Diebold, Pierce had four years of public accounting experience at KPMG in Cleveland, Ohio.
Pierce is a native of Suffield, Ohio. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Pierce is a certified public accountant (CPA), and has held membership in Ohio Society of CPAs. She was a member of the Committee for the Marlington Board of Education, and currently serves in the Marlington Booster Club and is a JAM teacher at The Chapel in Marlboro.
